Introduction to Computer Networks

1. What is a Computer Network?
According to Merriam Webster, a network is a group of entities that are connected together informally like people, computers, radio stations, etc.

For example, Dominos has a network of 1232 branches across India. It shows that a computer network is a system of peripheral devices or computers that are connected together and have a standard communication channel established between them to exchange different types of information and data.

2. Why is computer networking important?
Have you ever heard of the Internet or NET? I guess yes, because you are only able to read this article because of the Internet. But, have you ever thought about the internet? The Internet is a network that connects all the different network-enabled devices that allows sharing of data and information between them and that makes computer networking a core part of our lives and technology interviews.
